Successful inclusion in the STI Directory for sustainability 2022

We are the first Swiss industrial company to successfully complete the Swiss Triple Impact Program (STI) and have been included in the STI Directory. An important step in the sustainable transformation and in support of the UN Agenda 2030!

Commitment to sustainability 2021

Since June 2021, we as a company but also our products are completely climate neutral. We reduce our CO2 footprint and compensate unavoidable emissions. Since then, we have carried the "Climate neutral" label from ClimatePartner.

In addition, the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) form our framework for action. All contributions can be found under Sustainability.

Founding of Hellas Packaging I.K.E. 2018

Our most recent member of the Semadeni Plastics Group was founded. From January 2018, Hellas Packaging I.K.E. will sell diverse plastic packaging in Greece.

Opening of the new warehouse at Königstein 2017

The previous factory, with an area of approx. 1,800 m², was expanded, modernised and extended by a new 3,800 m² hall.

Logo Plastic acquires PET Sachsen 2016

Anniversary - A change in generation 2002

Numerous celebrations for the 50th anniversary of Semadeni AG are held in 2002. The Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO Georges Semadeni hands over all his roles to his son Patrick Semadeni.    

Market presence in AT and DE 1996/2000

Our first subsidiary is opened in Vienna in 1996. Four years later, this is followed by the one in Germany.    

The start of plastics injection moulding 1976

The important decision is made to start plastics injection moulding in this year. In-house tool making was set up.  

The birth of plastics apparatus engineering at Semadeni 1957

As a result of growing demand, we start custom-made productions in plastics apparatus engineering. Experts are recruited for this in Germany as there were not any qualified or experienced specialists in Switzerland back then.

The development years 1955

The son of the company founder, Georges Semadeni, joins the company and drives development. 

How it all began 1952

Mr Andrea Semadeni opens a retail business “Agents for all kinds of innovations” in Bern. One of the first articles was already a plastic article: an acid pump. A sensational innovation for that time!
