Semadeni works to ISO 9001 and is certified to ISO 22000; in the packing room we pack articles in food contact under the corresponding hygiene conditions.
What does contract packing and co-packing mean at Semadeni?
Contract packing covers all the steps that make a product ready for dispatch and sale after its actual manufacture: sorting, labelling, set and kit assembly, packing and dispatch preparation. Semadeni carries out these steps on articles from its own injection moulding and its trade range – finished to your specification, not just produced. We work manually and semi-automatically, realise small batches as well as recurring orders and secure quality to ISO 9001. Manufacturing and packing room are on the same site in Ostermundigen; Semadeni is certified to ISO 22000, in the packing room we pack articles in food contact under the corresponding hygiene conditions. On request we store the goods and deliver on demand via kanban or consignment models. Which scope and hygiene level make sense is defined per project according to product, quantity and requirement.

Not just producing, but finishing
An article is rarely finished where the machine delivers it. Semadeni sorts, labels, assembles, mounts and packs – on articles from its own injection moulding and its trade range, the way you need them. Manufacturing, packing and dispatch are on the same site: short paths, one contact, and the packing room for food-contact articles sits directly next to the plastics production.
From the single part to the dispatch-ready unit
Pack and label
We pick, label and assemble sets – manually or semi-automatically, depending on quantity and effort. We apply existing labels; a print order we take on request. Packing is done in bag, carton, trays or bulk containers, matched to transport and retail.
Food contact in the packing room
Semadeni is certified to ISO 22000; for articles in food contact, the packing room provides the corresponding hygiene conditions. Whether a concrete material is approved for direct contact is clarified per product and per application – conformity lies with the material and the batch, not with the packing environment alone.
Storage and logistics on call
On request we store your finished goods in the central warehouse in Ostermundigen and deliver on demand via kanban or consignment models. This lowers your stock tie-up and shortens the reaction time when orders fluctuate.

What does contract packing mean?
Contract packing covers all manual and semi-automatic steps after production: sorting, labelling, set and kit assembly, packing and dispatch preparation. It makes a product ready for sale and dispatch, without you having to build your own capacity for it.
Which articles does Semadeni pack and assemble?
In principle everything that comes from our own injection moulding or is sourced through our trade range – the type of article is not the limiting factor. The packing capacity in Ostermundigen is dimensioned for exactly these articles. Packing work on third-party goods we take on in individual cases upon request – above all for customers we already work with. We are not a contract packer for third-party production; our capacity is dimensioned for our own articles.
Is Semadeni's packing area suitable for food contact?
Yes. Semadeni is certified to ISO 22000; in the packing room we pack articles in food contact under the corresponding hygiene conditions. Whether a concrete article and its material are approved for direct food contact is to be clarified per product and per batch.
Does Semadeni also take on small batches and one-off orders?
Yes. Because we work manually and semi-automatically, low quantities, assortment changes and one-off campaigns are economically feasible too. We tailor the process flexibly to the respective order.
Can Semadeni store my goods and deliver on demand?
Yes. Via the central warehouse in Ostermundigen we offer kanban and consignment models on request. You call off the goods as needed, we pick and deliver on time – this reduces your own stock tie-up.
