Evidence (in German «Asservaten») are objects or samples secured in criminal proceedings. Evidence containers are tamper-evident, writeable plastic containers for securing evidence – for example sample beakers with tamper-evident closure or writeable evidence bags. They secure the unbroken chain of custody and protect against contamination and mix-up.

Yes. Sample beakers with a tamper-evident closure are part of the catalogue range. Versions with a different tamper-evident closure are produced as custom manufacturing in our own injection moulding in Ostermundigen and are not listed in the shop. Tell us the sample type, quantity and the closure you need, and we will assess tooling and feasibility.

For crime-scene work, sample beakers and tubes with screw closure, wash bottles for trace elution, writeable bags and film bags for evidence, cooling elements and transport boxes as well as disposable gloves and protective articles are suitable. The selection depends on the trace type and analysis method.

Selected products, for example sample vessels for DNA analyses, are available in sterile versions. The sterility – for instance radiation-sterilised – we state product-specifically on request. The available sterile range depends on the article.

Many sample beakers and pots in PP can be autoclaved, typically at 121 °C per EN 285. Temperature, holding time and number of cycles are product-specific – the respective approval we state for the concrete product. For shipping biological samples, the transport regulations under ADR and IATA additionally apply.
