Certifications & Compliance

Independently audited and transparently evidenced: five ISO certifications, external sustainability ratings and the binding codes of conduct for staff and suppliers. Each certificate in detail, with scope, number and download.

At a glance

Semadeni AG is certified to five ISO standards: ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment), EN ISO 13485 (medical devices) as well as ISO 22000 and ISO/TS 22002-4 (food safety and food packaging). The certification body is QS Zürich AG; the certificates are valid until 23.02.2028. In addition, Semadeni holds an EcoVadis Gold rating of 84/100 and is a signatory of the UN Global Compact.

Five ISO certifications

Awards & memberships

Not every piece of evidence carries the same weight. A certificate is audited by an independent body, a rating is awarded by a third party on the basis of submitted evidence, whereas a voluntary commitment is entered into freely and reported on publicly. The two items below complement our ISO certifications – they do not replace them.

EcoVadis is an independent rating platform for corporate sustainability. Procurement departments use it to assess suppliers without having to audit them themselves. What is rated is submitted evidence and publicly available sources – not statements of intent.

UN Global Compact

The UN Global Compact is the United Nations sustainability initiative for companies. Signatories commit to ten principles and report publicly on their progress every year.

The ten principles cover four areas: human rights, labour standards, environmental protection and anti-corruption.
