The starting point
Honey reaches the breakfast table safely when tin and lid are tight and the packaging complies with food legislation. Narimpex in Biel needed a packaging solution that would meet food compliance for the long term.
The solution
For years we have produced plastic tins and lids for honey by injection moulding. An injection moulding park with clamping forces from 22 to 180 t and in-house tool making is available for this at the Ostermundigen plant; production follows the ISO 22000 food safety standard.
We supported Narimpex in selecting materials and in migration testing (overall migration, SML) and know the legislation well, so food compliance was always met.
The outcome
Narimpex can therefore be certain of having developed a safe and attractive packaging solution with Semadeni.
