The starting point
Detecting pregnant and non-pregnant animals as early and reliably as possible is essential for efficient fertility management. Analysing a milk sample is one option that is gentle on the animal: using proven ELISA technology, the Suisselab AG laboratory in Zollikofen determines pregnancy status within a short time.
The deep well plates (DWP) filled with milk samples are moved by a robot from a cool location to an interim storage area, after which the ELISA plates are loaded and the pregnancy test is carried out.
The solution
Suisselab uses deep well plates from our range for this. We make sure there are no differences between the batches we supply and that the laboratory robot can grip the plates properly – which is critical in this process. Strict quality controls maintain that dimensional accuracy.
The outcome
Differences between the DWP can lead to lost analysis runs and therefore delays in reporting results. The entire process stays assured: the milk producer receives the findings immediately after the laboratory analysis is complete and can react faster.

Why do deep well plates have to be identical from batch to batch?
Because a robot grips the plates in the laboratory. Differences between batches can cause entire analysis runs to be lost and delay the reporting of results – strict quality controls therefore keep the dimensions constant.
