The starting point
Measurement technology group Anton Paar needs its own reagent tubes in special dimensions for its high-precision laboratory instruments, process systems and automation solutions; they are used in sample changers for a range of applications. One main application is petrochemistry, where various samples are measured in the tubes and then disposed of.
Adhering to material tolerances is critical here: to ensure the measuring instruments fill flawlessly, both the tubes and the airtight closures have to fit exactly into the designated magazine positions.
The solution
These reagent tubes are custom-made by injection moulding at our plant in Ostermundigen.
The outcome
This individual product solution means the dimensional requirements are met to 100 % and long-term availability of the item is assured – nothing stands in the way of this consumable performing flawlessly in the instrument.
