WFO Cleanup in Honduras
On March 14, 2025, a large-scale clean-up campaign will take place to remove plastic waste from mangroves, beaches and coral reefs.
What does Waste Free Oceans do?
Waste Free Oceans collects plastic waste from seas and coastal regions and channels it into recycling. Semadeni has supported the organisation as a partner since 2018; a large-scale cleanup took place in Roatán, Honduras, in March 2025.
Since 2018, we have been supporting Waste Free Oceans (WFO) in its important work to combat plastic waste in the oceans through our partnership.
On 14.03.2025, WFO is organizing a large-scale clean-up campaign in Roatán, Honduras. The aim is to remove plastic waste from mangroves, beaches and coral reefs and raise awareness of marine environmental protection. The campaign covers three sites: Crawfish Rock (mangroves), Sandy Bay (beach) and West End (beach and underwater cleanup).
Our annual contribution to Waste Free Oceans supports their ongoing efforts to tackle plastic pollution in the oceans.
It is important to us to have a positive impact on the environment and to support initiatives like this in addition to our own reduction and improvement measures.
