Sunday morning at the family table. Little Lara scoops a large portion of honey out of the tin and spreads it appetisingly on a piece of bread for her second slice of bread with honey. What hardly anyone knows is that Semadeni makes a large contribution to ensuring that the honey gets to Lara safely. For years, we have produced tins and lids made of plastic for honey in an injection moulding process for Narimpex, based in Biel. For this, more than 35 automatic injection moulding machines with in-house tool making are available to us at the Ostermundigen plant. Production is performed in accordance with the Food Safety Standard ISO 22000. We have supported Narimpex in selecting materials and in the migration tests (global migration, SML) and are familiar with the legislation, thus ensuring that food compliance was always fulfilled.
Thus, Narimpex has the certainty that it has developed a safe and attractive packaging solution with Semadeni and Lara can be sure that the next slices of bread with honey will also taste as good as they ought to.
