Hygiene pallets in use for baby food

Every day at Hochdorf Swiss Nutrition, hundreds of big bags containing valuable food and ingredients from milk, cereal and oilseeds are transported. Pallets are a very effective work instrument for handling these big bags and require high load-bearing capacity, hygiene and conformity with the relevant regulations in the food industry.

In the food industry, the hygiene requirements are of particular importance. Here, plastic pallets perform much better compared to wooden pallets. Wooden pallets are more sensitive to fungi and germs and to chipping. Wood is hydrophilic and attracts dampness. Plastic pallets prevent these effects. They are easily cleaned and are significantly longer-lasting than wooden pallets; hence, the total cost of ownership is also better.

We provided Hochdorf with quality plastic pallets from the German manufacturer Craemer, which both meet the requirements of EU regulation 10/2011 and correspond to the standard DIN ISO 2768-V. Additionally, Hochdorf took the opportunity to print the company logo on the pallets. The food company uses the hygiene pallets both for intralogistics and for external transportation. At the Sulgen location, the pallets are used daily in the automatic warehouse. Externally, the TC1/TC3 pallets are used mainly for the international transportation of the manufactured food, especially baby food.

The hygiene pallets prove their outstanding worth every day at Hochdorf and will continued to do so for many years to come. Craemer pallets are available in Switzerland from Semadeni.

Hochdorf Swiss Nutrition employs approximately 630 people and sells its products in over 90 countries.
