"Plastics are the greenest solution"
A recent study looked at the total greenhouse gas contribution of plastics compared to its alternatives, including the product life cycle and impact of use. The results may be surprising to some, but according to the report, plastics are the "greenest" solution, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by three to four times compared to other materials.
