We participate in the Swiss Impact Forum

Today, Blab's Swiss Impact Forum takes place at the Eventfabrik in Bern. This conference brings together over 400 actors involved in the adaptation of the Swiss private sector to the new economy* and committed to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda. The Forum is set to become a major annual event in the Swiss sustainability landscape.

We will be on site with a booth highlighting two examples of the circular economy and how waste can be turned into products, which in turn is good for resource efficiency and the climate:

  • Ocean Plastic: recycling of old collected fishing nets ➡ granules ➡ cans.
  • CircularLine: Recycling of waste oil streams ➡ Granules ➡ Bottles.

The program includes exciting keynotes, e.g. by Federal Councillor Ueli Maurer, as well as panel discussions, interactive workshops and networking sessions. As co-host, we will also lead a deep dive session on how packaging helps to avoid food loss and food waste. It should be noted, however, that this positive characteristic of packaging is not countered by poor environmental performance. Packaging is only sustainable if it is used in a circular way, implementing reusable solutions or at least recycling the material. Furthermore, the packaging must be designed in such a way that the material input is minimal.

We look forward to the exchange!
