Together for a Switzerland-wide recycling system
We have signed the "Closing the loop for plastic packaging and beverage cartons" pact. Numerous companies along the entire value chain have jointly committed to the goal of establishing a sustainable recycling economy for plastic packaging and beverage cartons in Switzerland, and we share this commitment.
In this way, everyone is making a joint contribution to a sustainable future: away from a linear system and towards a sustainable circular economy for packaging in Switzerland. We take responsibility and together realize a sustainable circular economy for plastic packaging and beverage cartons.
Specifically, we are committed to the following goals:
- A harmonized, cost- and eco-efficient, consumer-friendly and coordinated circular economy system for plastic packaging and beverage cartons throughout Switzerland will be introduced.
- The better use of Design4Circularity allows for a closing of the loops and thus a reduction of the environmental impact.
- The use of recyclates becomes a matter of course.
- Suitable framework conditions for all actors prevent free riders and allow the economy to operate a system of extended producer responsibility within the respective legal framework.
- The system will be established in a way that is open to innovation and will continue to develop.
By signing the Pact, we are committing ourselves to the vision of recycling all packaging and recycling it in a high-quality manner by 2030.
